  Being a passionate amateur photographer myself, I did not take the job of finding a photographer for our wedding lightly. I eventually ended up on Real Simple Photography, and couldn't be more happy! There was two reasons why I chose them, and both reasons proved to hold true looking in retrospect:
  
  Firstly, Jacques is a dedicated and sympathetic person whom it is easy to like and whom I enjoyed working with, which is something that actually means a whole lot when you are going through the agony of planning a wedding. Jacques was very helpful all the way through, and provided added value to our overall wedding planning as well, with several tips that we ended up following. During the day they elegantly shifted between taking an invisible role, hiding away in the bushes (at times literally), and assertively taking charge when needed to ensure the proper pictures was efficiently secured.
  
  Secondly, Jacques delivers consistently high quality on all his pictures. A key word here is "consistently", because while Real Simple Photography may not be the most adventurous option (e.g. creative flash and smoke props, wind machines, HDR pictures, out of the ordinary staging, etc), they have created their own signature style, which you can easily identify if you browse through their portfolio: vibrant colored pictures using natural lighting in a documentary style (notice that no eyes are looking at the camera in any picture). In choosing photographer, I found a lot of comfort in knowing what to expect as my end product, and Real Simple's consistent portfolio was a key reason for choosing them.
  
  Looking back, this was absolutely the right decision. We couldn't be more happy with our pictures. Flicking through them is experiencing the day all over again, as they have a great eye for moments, framing and obviously the beautiful, vibrant colors which they pull out during the post processing. The pictures appear casual, as if our friends captured them (to borrow words from their own website), but with the quality you'd really wish your friends' photos actually had.
